Why Mayor Dolan Helps Sandy Get Things Going

Sandy City, the heart of the Salt Lake Valley, has experienced true transformation over the past two decades and is on the cusp of even greater success.

As Mayor, Tom Dolan has overseen major initiatives to transform Sandy City into the best suburban community in the Intermountain West where the residents are safe, their children can attend great schools and where the entire family can work and play.

Today, Mayor Dolan is moving forward with plans to implement an ambitious 30-year master plan for Sandy Civic Center, expand the City’s trail system, relocate the Hale Center Theatre to its new home in Sandy and continue the good governance that has allowed Sandy’s property taxes to remain the lowest in Salt Lake County.

Mayor Dolan leads a City government that is responsive to the needs of its citizens. The Mayor believes that good government is one that listens to residents and is transparent in its actions, and he values open communication through face-to-face conversation, community meetings and online and social media.
